Reimagine Your Life
With Freshly Milled Bread !
Freshly milled whole wheat flour contains the bran, germ, and endosperm—the entire grain—bringing its natural fiber, oils, vitamins, minerals, flavor, and texture to the table. For many people, discovering freshly milled bread changes their lives. Instead of seeing bread as something to avoid or eat sparingly, it becomes a nourishing and restorative feature in families' homes. The freshly milled hype is real...people experience better digestion, more stable energy and improvements in overall health; even many people who have non-celiac gluten sensitivity (NCGS) feel amazing when eating freshly milled whole wheat products. Learn more about the reason flour must be used shortly after milling by looking at the slides below.
It is important to mention that the general public is correct in thinking they should avoid store-bought wheat products. The main reason why is that both whole wheat shelf-flour and ultra-refined flour are fundamentally damaged due to significant portions of the original grain being removed and synthetic vitamins being added back in through enrichment. Most people, whether they realize it or not, experience an inflammatory response to conventional, store-bought wheat.
If you're curious about how to switch to freshly milled whole wheat products and you're interested in getting a mill, choosing wheat berries, or learning how to bake with freshly milled flour, I'd love to help you get started.
Hi! I'm Tina, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), I operate the The Modern Mill & Larder from my home. Here, I busy myself serving my clients and the community by making freshly milled bread dough that they can bake in their own home. I also make freshly milled baked bread and other therapeutic foods like probiotic dairy, bone broth and kombucha. For nutritional therapy sessions, I meet virtually and in person with individuals who need support as they work through health issues or just want accountability for staying on track with their wellness goals. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I consider how the body is functioning as a whole and help each client strengthen the foundations that support health and well-being. Those foundational areas are:
Nutrient-Dense Eating – Nourishing the body with foods rich in essential vitamins, minerals, protein, and healthy fats.
Digestion and Gut Health – Supporting healthy digestion, nutrient absorption, gut lining integrity, and microbial balance.
Blood Sugar Regulation – Supporting stable energy, mood, and metabolic function through balanced eating patterns.
Sleep – Supporting deep recovery, hormonal balance, and overall restoration.
Stress Management – Helping reduce the physiological effects of chronic stress through targeted nutrition and lifestyle strategies.
As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Instead, I work alongside clients' healthcare providers to support foundational health through individualized nutritional and lifestyle guidance.
